SAP Project/ Service Manager 60%

We are looking for our customer, for a SAP Basis Project/ Service Manager. In this position you will be responsible for being the contact between the SAP Basis team and
- the internal customers of SAP Basis such as application support teams and a number of project teams
- the internal service providers for SAP Basis such as operations teams, server platform teams for Linux, Solaris, Windows, network and storage.
For several smaller internal projects you will also assume the role of project manager. Our service delivery model includes an off-shore delivery center for standard services. Experience which such a setup is considered a plus.
We are specifically looking for an energetic person with a flair for leadership, organizing and keeping good contact with the various customers of the Basis team and our internal and external service providers.
Proven expertise in the following areas is expected:
- You can analyze business as well as operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- You are a senior professional with a minimum of 3 years experience in SAP with a focus on the AS/Java and BI.
- You are experienced in administration of Application Server ABAP / Java
- You are experienced in administration of “non-classical” SAP systems (TREX, MDM, IDM)
- Experienced in Central Monitoring and Administration with SAP Solution Manager
Additional abilities:
- You are a strong team player with the ability to autonomously drive tasks
- Already been exposed to a broad range of platform technologies and products, such as UNIX/Solaris, VERITAS Cluster, MS Cluster, Windows, Databases (Oracle and SAP DB) and Java.
English is a must have and German is a definite plus.
