Oracle Developer - PL/SQL

A large financial institution in Zürich is looking for a Oracle developer responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of applications. The applications are based on the newest technologies in the areas of Java, Oracle and Unix (Sun Solaris).

Your main tasks will be:

• Build reliable and extensible solutions for current and future production requirements
• Work with several teams to provide database solutions for variety of different applications
• Communicate closely with production support group to improve the release procedures

The needed skills and qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or similar in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience in logical and physical data modelling
• Very good analytical and design skills
• Ability to grasp complex business or technical issues in a structured and efficient manner
• Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting of PL/SQL
• Sybase experience is beneficial
• Experience as DBA would be advantageous
• UNIX (Solaris) knowledge is extremely advantageous
• Good knowledge of Subversion system is welcome
• Basic Java and JDBC knowledge required
• Good English, written and spoken

 

Contract Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Salary / Rate: Market Rate
