1st & 2nd level support of in-house developed and 3rd party applications within stock & bond loan and Repo trading. The applications are used to price and capture trades including the full lifecycle management. Trades are either manually entered or feeding in from ECNs. The downstream systems are settlement, risk, P&L and systems among others.
The users are traders, sales traders and various operations teams.
The main tasks are
- Analyse incidents, identify the root cause and resolve or escalate appropriately
- Perform maintenance tasks
- Raising change request and implementing system changes
- Irregular work on weekend for releases and disaster recovery tests
- Regular system readiness test on Sundays shared within the team
- small enhancements or infrastructure related projects
- Work in a shift to cover 7 am to 6 pm

Technical Skills
Must have:
- Writing SQL queries against complex database schemata
- Unix: Analysing logs, editing files.
- Understanding Shell and Perl scripts
- Implementing changes using pre defined methods
- Ticketing software like Remedy, ServiceNow, CA Unicenter
- Experience with job scheduling software Control-M, AutoSys, Tivoli, etc.
- System and application monitoring software like Tivoli, OpenView, CA, etc.
Nice to have:
- Shell scripting
- Perl Scripting
- Middle ware experience,
Soft Skills
- Experience in a front office support is required, ideally within the same business area
- Excellent communication skills with traders. Ability manage their expectations
- Fast learner as the environment is rather complex
- Good English is a must
- Successfully master changing priorities on an ongoing basis
- Own problems and drive them through to a solution
