Our client, a leading global Financial Institution, requires a System Engineer in their Enterprise Search & Archiving department

Job Description:

The System Engineer is supporting the ECM Infrastructure team, which has the mission to ensure a stable and scalable Enterprise Content Management (ECM) infrastructure. Within this team the System Engineer is responsible for the successful setup of a new Enterprise Archiving solution based on the IBM Content Manager and a new Enterprise Search solution based on Recommind.
This includes the design and documentation of the new infrastructure components, the knowledge transfer to our internal engineers as well as to the external product delivery & support team.

Main Duties:

  • Represent the ECM Infrastructure team in the "EMR Refactoring" project
  • Design and engineer the new solutions for high availability, scalability and minimal operating efforts
  • Ensure a seamless integration of the new solution within the existing infrastructure landscape
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the new Archiving and Search solution
  • Create or update technical documentation
  • Create or update process documentation where needed

Responsibilities and proven expertise in the following areas is expected:

  • Good knowledge of the IBM Content Manager
  • Good UNIX know-how (Solaris, Linux) and Windows servers
  • Basic project management
  • Experienced in Archiving and Search technologies

  • Strong analytic skills and thinking in concepts
  • Proactive and service oriented attitude
  • Ability and disposition to understand complex technology stacks and their dependencies
  • Appear as professional and communicate target group related
  • Assume responsibility and drive activities autonomously
  • Handle multiple tasks at the same time with competing priorities
  • English a must, German a plus
